The Communications Commission provides the link to keep members of the parish and the community we serve informed about what is happening and what is planned. This is an opportunity (particularly for those with interest in writing, photography and/or graphic design), to serve the St. Luke's family and further our Christian mission throughout the tri-city communities.

This Parish website is a work in progress. If a website is not "a work in progress" it will lose its value and, in time, its viewership (hits). The importance of the information presented and its immediacy are critical to website credibility and use.
The Parish Window is the monthly news publication for parishioners. It is compiled and edited by a parish volunteer from articles provided by clergy, staff, vestry, and parish family members. It and the Parish website you are now reading are the central news source keeping the parish abreast of current events, meetings, schedules for various activities and classes, articles of interest to parishioners, and a little light humor. Deadline for all contributions is the 15th of each month.
The Sunday Bulletin is published weekly to make it easier for worshipers to follow and participate in our services. It is especially helpful to visitors who may not be familiar with our form of worship. Bulletins are prepared, printed, collated and folded by volunteers.
Event Publicity, as in the cases of the "Don't Spend Christmas Alone" dinner and concerts held throughout the year at the church, is created and distributed to the media and other distribution systems to the broader community we serve.
"Welcome to Newcomers" is the banner over the pictures of new members displayed on the bulletin board in the Gathering Hall. These pictures and a small amount of personal information help us "older-timers" identify new faces and help in facilitating introductions.
The use of e-mail is promoted by example and by reminder. The Commission has encouraged increased use of e-mail for the conduct of church business by volunteers and the dissemination of information to church membership quickly when speed is essential. Many who had had only a nodding acquaintance with e-mail have seen how fast, effective and inexpensive this is for communicating between and among church members and staff.
Parish Historian - The St. Luke's archives house the preserved written and photographic materials which represent the history of the parish.
